Dr. Philip Aka is a former Dean and Professor of Law at the International University of Sarajevo in Bosnia. A member of the Illinois State Bar since 2004, Dr. Aka holds six academic degrees, including a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, Master of Laws (LL.M.) and Doctor of Juridical Science (S.J.D.) degrees from Indiana University, and a Ph.D. degree in political science from Howard University. He has authored 110 publications, including seven books, tied to his interest in the human rights of minority populations in Africa, Southeast Europe, and the United States.
